Una Healy was blessed in Thurles, Eire to Angel and Bob Healy, doctor and a GP. She has a sis, Deirdre.

Healy comes from a musical technology qualifications and is the relative of nation musician Declan Nerney. She is a relative of Irish patient Bob Hession.

At 13, she provided up boating (she was an All-Ireland champ swimmer at 9 and determined to show herself to play using her mothers instrument and from then on started to create music of her own.

After completing school at 18, she determined to take a year out and became a medical assistant, and from then went on to research breastfeeding and then main coaching, but determined lastly to go forward and engage in her music interest at 23 years old. She started her music profession enjoying instrument and performing in organizations and night organizations around Eire, single and in companies.

Whilst she was gradually finding success in her local Eire as an independent single artisan, she sensed she didn't have a company route in her profession. Therefore, in the summertime season of 2007 she travelled over to London, uk to obtain more visibility and experience and arrived an try out for The Saturdays, which was her first try out for a major brand and overseas.
